SURA initiated from the Urban Slum of Dhaka City where people specially the women‘s vulnerability is prior. Later we moved to Rural Areas where poverty prevailed.

We believe “every people possess some skills, creativities and potentialities that can ensured the socio-economic development through motivation, education and training.”

Currently we are working in the south east region of the country where Religious Fanaticism is the biggest challenge of development. We work mostly in 15 sub districts of Dhaka, Chattogram, Cumilla, Feni, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Cox’s Bazar and Noakhali Mymensingh District. We served more than half a million of vulnerable people under its different development Projects.

The “Integrated Women’s Community Development Programme” of SURA shows progress in the implemented community like Chandina & Chauddagram, Cumilla or Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar may be a Model for Community Development.
